What Is Ska???

Ska. Started back in the 1950's. There is so much history to this type of music. Ska is a music of peace and just happyness. Ska is a feeling, a way of life, an art. This music was very popular during the 1950's. There are very few people listen to ska. People who listen to ska are known as Rude Boys/Girls. Here's a bit more On the rude boys/girls:

Rude Boys
What is a rude boy? What is a rude girl? What does 'to be rude' mean? Today, it simply means that you're a dedicated member of the ska scene. If you have a good ska collection, if you dress up in a way that indicates that you like ska, if your style and taste makes it obvious to others that you're in with the ska, you are therefore 'rude' by the definition of ska crowd.

A Bit More On Ska
Rude Boys are usually open minded. Most people who listen to Rap think so close-minded and judge other on what "gang" or 'side" they are from. Ska is not just a music but a way of thinking. It is a personality. To be nice to each other and stop this hatred, Ska is about being happy and feeling good. There is so much to ska.


What We Try To Do
I am getting tired of the same rock and rap and all the same songs. We are the 2000 generation and we need something new. Ska is not new but we want it to be something that people listen to. Not to become popular but to keep it alive. To make more and more rudeboys. We need to bring back ska for the 2000 generation! Spread the word and if you like Ska and like the idea of a rudeboy spead the word! Bring Back Ska!

Skanking
Skanking is a way of dancing to ska. So many people worry about dancing and ska its just moving to the rythm. You shake you hands up and down and kick your legs. Some people think it seems "OLD" or "50's" dancing but it's awesome with the music and skanking. Trust me it's fun and once you get the hang of skanking the music makes you wanna skank!
